Counterfactual thinking scale
(Stanovich & West 1997, JEduPsy)
The Scale
A very simple two item scale :
My beliefs would not have been very different if I had been raised by a different set of parents Even if my environment (family, neighborhood, schools) had been different, I probably would have the same religious viewsBoth items were reversed scored so that higher scores indicated counterfactual thinking. The scores on this scale ranged from 2 to 12.
